What is the “Ideal Protein” Diet?
I just learned about this diet today, and it was intriguing to me to say the least. This European born diet was approved by The FDA in early 2008.
What is the basic idea behind this diet?
Well, in order to lose weight effectively, your pancreus has to work right meaning stay away from carbs, fats, sugars. These things can throw your pancreus off and make you not lose the fat in the most efficient way. The idea is to focus on the right amount of protein. This isn’t some altered form of the Atkins diet where it’s all the meat you want, however. It focuses on the minimum amount needed for wellness and to get your body working to burn the fat. The diet pushes your body into catotis, a fat burning stage. The Ideal Protein items give you the right amount of protein that you need to put you into the fat burning stage, and when you drink one of the drinks it’s like the same chemically than if you ate a piece of fish, chicken, or turkey as far as your body is concerned. The only big problem some people have with the diet is that it asks for you to cut down on your exercise and physical activity.
Is it safe?
Well I am definitely not a doctor, so I really have no idea. I was unable to find a lot of information on this diet other than the promotion of it and a few news videos. In the news videos I saw, most of the nutritionists thought that the diet was decent, but there were some professionals that thought it wasn’t that great because of the requirement to reduce your exercise.
